2007 will see the hotel undergo a multi-million refurbishment programme. This investment enhances the previous upgrade in 2005 and secures the hotel's reputation as one of the leading Conference and Events hotels in the North West and as the flagship hotel of Blackpool, an ever popular conference destination.
Situated on North Promenade with spectacular views over glorious beaches and the sea, and only minutes from all the local attractions, the Barceló Blackpool Imperial Hotel has hosted the crème de la crème of British politics with the like of Margaret Thatcher and Tony Blair at their annual party conferences. A choice of 15 conference and meeting rooms area available accommodating up to 600 delegates. The largest suite is the Lancastrian which is a modern versatile function room used for large conferences, banquets and dinner dances. The room has a minstrels gallery ideal entertainers and musicians as well as its own private bar area just off the main function room.
The newly restyled and upgraded Palm Court Restaurant offers guests a variety of dishes from traditional to contemporary. A new alfresco ‘Terrace’ is being created with superb panoramic sea views. The no 10 bar is the place to relax and enjoy a well deserved drink. Steeped in history the bar has hosted all British Prime ministers over several decades, which provides a real talking point.
